So my coffee addiction has made a slight dent in my wallet, and my bank statements have been showing just a tad bit too many Starbucks Rewards Card reloads.

That’s not stopping me from buying more coffee though. I just have to cut back on my customizations and extras, and honestly all of it in general, but thats not the point. The point is, I went to Starbucks with every intention of reordering my delicious peppermint sweet cream cold brew concoction, but my card balance was too low for a signature Starbucks drink.

My problem solving skills kicked in though, and I came up with the perfect alternative. An Iced Coffee with the complimentary flavor shots of vanilla and peppermint, topped with free sweet cream.

I truly felt like I had finessed the system in that moment. Sure an iced coffee isn’t the same as a cold brew, its not steeped and brewed the same or as long, therefore its not as strong, but its still good enough. And breaking down a signature drink to $3 is so much better than paying the regular price of almost $6.
