On the one day of the week I usually save to sleep in, a Thursday morning coffee date was set. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll never complain about hanging out with my big sister from my sorority, but I could have really used those skipped hours of sleep.
It was her birthday, our first hangout in a while, and a buy one get one free type of day. Today’s coffee was a medium iced philharmonic made sweet & creamy with oat milk, and it was beautiful. The coffee had just the right amount of ice, the mint wasn’t as overwhelming as ordering a mint mojito, and it was just the right amount of sweetness to make me feel awake, without turning me into a jittery mess.
My favorite thing about Philz, since I moved up here and discovered it, is the fact that no matter what, it never fails to get my hands shaking the way caffeine rarely does to me anymore. It’s exhilarating.
My order stays the same every visit I make to Philz, and though I love the single mint leaf and cardamon, I think I’m going to shake it up next time.
