Three weeks into the semester, I’ve finally woken up early and given myself time to pick up my iced coffee, and still have enough time to settle and take out my laptop before class starts at 9 a.m.
Despite going to bed at 3 a.m. the night before, or you can argue, earlier that day, I was able to get my pre-class caffeine fix and be on time. The excitement from that fact, but also Starbucks’s lack of vanilla syrup, inspired me to switch it up and order something new. Today was a toffee nut iced coffee with sweet cream.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from the toffee nut syrup, because I had never tried it before, and I had no idea what sweet cream entails. The first sip of my drink was a nice surprise.
It was sweet, just creamy enough for to lighten the coffee to a nice, light brown. The toffee reminded me of nougat and See’s Candies truffles.
